Composition: Using photoshop, I cropped, copied, pasted, erased several photos of family members of Sarah Szafranski. I adjusted the brightness and contrasts of each person to make them stand out more. In addition, I took a larger image of Sarah and fading her face into the sky, giving her more divine feel to the image. I also added a cross to give the impression that Sarah had past away.
Concept: This a dedication to my friend, Sarah Szafranski, who was murdered at Lane Bryant last year. This image may focus on Sarah, but the photo is meant to show that life goes on and people can live through struggles/obstacles in life no matter how hard they may be. There is always hope somewhere. You will see this through the family members in the pictures. This photo will also touch upon the pointlessness of domestic violence and how much pain it can cause to not only one, but many.
